The next meeting of the six-party talks seeking agreement on North Korea's nuclear disarmament will be held next month in China, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told reporters Sunday.

Rice, en route from the Asia-Pacific Cooperation summit in Lima, said the meeting would be held December 8 in China.

"The goal is to get agreement ... on North Korea's nuclear disarmament," she said.

Asked if there were any disappointment on the pace of progress on North Korea's nuclear program, as US President George W. Bush's second term nears its close, Rice said "the North Koreans took more than 30 years to get (a nuclear program). I think it might take more than a couple to unravel it."
